F.6 DSE Geography Field Trip
The F.6 DSE Geography class went on a field trip to Cheung Chau on Monday 6th February for a comprehensive study of the vegetation cover and soil conditions of woodlands in Hong Kong. In collaboration with the Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre, students had a chance to visit the fieldwork centre, learning different strategies and methods of doing scientific, convincing and well-thought-out research by using correct instruments and equipment. During their time, students were offered opportunities to conduct experiments related to soil science and fieldwork about the growth of woodlands in Cheung Chau. Students had fruitful learning outcomes and enjoyed the field work very much.
