10TH ANNIVERSARY

Having fulfilled the dream of the YMCA of Hong Kong, YHKCC started its operation 10 years ago in September 2003, as a Direct Subsidy Scheme Secondary School (DSS School).  Our vision is to establish a learning community where quality education, based on Christian beliefs and values, is offered in a joyful and stimulating setting.  We believe that the foundation of this learning community is the partnership among teachers, parents and students.  The school is to carry out its mission based on the CARES principles.

In its 10 years of operation, the school has built from strength to strength, attracting many more students to it than it can accommodate.  Currently it has a student population of just less than a thousand, with approximately 70% of the students being non-local, with over 40 nationalities.  The aim of the school is to blend different cultures and backgrounds into a global citizenry, respecting and valuing one another.  Following are the different areas of its history in a snapshot.
