At the YHKCC, we believe that education should be a dynamic and engaging journey for every student. Student-centered learning is at the heart of our teaching philosophy, where lessons are crafted to actively involve students in the learning process. This approach builds on learners’ prior knowledge and skills, encouraging them to take ownership of their educational experiences.
Student Wellbeing & Pastoral Support
The Student Wellbeing and Student Support Teams work together closely to enable students to achieve their potential; they ensure a nurturing learning environment and provide students with appropriate support and challenge. We place high importance on providing high-quality pastoral care.
Personal Growth
The school offers a vibrant calendar of whole-school activities designed to foster community spirit, personal growth and global awareness. Throughout the year, students engage in diverse events that complement academic learning with real-world experiences. Highlights include the International Fun Fair, Life-Wide Learning Camp and Enrichment Week.
A Wide Variety of Sports
The YHKCC is committed to promoting sports and developing our student-athletes. We provide a range of unique sports such as cheerleading, cricket, lacrosse, hockey and rugby, ensuring students are exposed to a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities. Our athletes compete in various inter-school competitions including the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Sports Federation (HKSSF) and the International Schools Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK).
Education for Sustainability Development
The Sustainability Education Programme at the YHKCC is designed to foster an understanding of the delicate balance between human wellbeing and the natural environment, aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by UNESCO. This initiative is built on three fundamental pillars: environmental, social and economic sustainability.
